New regulation regulates the dispensing of CBD only by pharmacies!

Pharmacies in Austria are obliged to check the quality of the active ingredients used and also to guarantee the accuracy of the information regarding the content of this active ingredient in a preparation. In this sense, this criterion can only be beneficial for CBD therapy. Even if preparations containing CBD can only be dispensed in pharmacies on prescription until further notice, this is no reason for discontent, on the contrary.Especially when using cannabinoids, it is important to speak to a doctor beforehand to decide whether this therapy is actually the right one. This also ensures that the right medication in the right application form and dosage has the maximum benefit for the customer/patient. The new regulation from the BMASGK creates a reasonable basis, giving a promising cannabinoid the chance to gain medical status in order to be used in a targeted manner in the future.
